José Salibi Neto is co-founder of HSM, the acknowledged leader organization in Executive Education. His name is immediately associated with the introduction in Brazil of the key concepts of contemporary management, having helped to transform thousands of companies, executives and entrepreneurs over the last 25 years. During this period, he worked closely with the world’s top management thinkers, including Peter Drucker, Jack Welch, Michael Porter, Philip Kotler, Tom Peters, Jim Collins, John Davis, John Ward and CK Prahalad, among others, and with world leaders such as Bill Clinton, Rudolph Giuliani, Al Gore and Tony Blair. Salibi also expanded HSM to Argentina, Mexico, Italy, Spain and the United States. He was co-creator of HSM Management (the flagship management publication in the Brazilian editorial market), ExpoManagement (the world’s largest management Congress and Exhibition), ManagemenTV (the first 24-hour management television channel anywhere), HSM Experience (the most comprehensive digital platform of management content) and many other groundbreaking initiatives. He is the author of the bestselling Movidos por ideias [Driven by ideas], and has at present worked as advisor, mentor and coach to CEOs at companies such as Amil, Mambo/Giga, Ika and meuSucesso.com, as well as for numerous global management thinkers, authors and lecturers.
Salibi graduated from the Moore School of Business of the University of South Carolina, and earned an MBA in International Business from the same institution. In 2009, he was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award, the university’s highest tribute to a former student. In his youth, Salibi was one of the country’s main tennis players and won several junior and professional tournaments in Brazil and abroad.
